Dan was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 10, 1960. He graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Dan began his career in financial services with New York Life where he was an operations manager, Leaders-level producer and sales manager. He joined New England Financial in Colorado Springs in 2000 as a Managing Associate. Dan was a Managing Associate of the Year nominee in 2001-2003 and in 2003 he received the Managing Associate of the Year Award for Excellence in New Producer Development. On April 1, 2004 Dan was named Managing Partner in Colorado Springs.

Dan is the President of the Colorado Springs chapter of NAIFA. He and his wife, Linda, have three children, Jenna, Audrey and Jake.
